The Birthday Wish List

My birthday is coming up next week and I often present my family with a detailed wish list. There’s usually some sort of live creature on the list, so I know they don’t take it too seriously, but it’s always nice to have a wish list prepared just in case, right? The spring catalogs have been arriving nearly daily, so I had lots of ideas and new loves. I’m starting to get hopeful about the warm weather and we’re planning our summer vacations. When planning trips, I tend to develop terribly romantic notions (evening walks on cobblestone streets, dips in the Mediterranean Sea, browsing foreign museums in newly purchased espadrilles…you know), so I plan my wardrobe purchases accordingly. Every year, I just long to be browsing on Calle Serrano, purchasing books along the Seine or people watching in Roman piazzas. Although it doesn’t happen every year, it’s wonderful to imagine! I highly suggest it.

Feeling Festive

Heels || Sweater (similar) || Tights || Lips || Earrings

I honestly don’t think I’ve ever taken pictures of Bella that I love more than these. Her obvious disdain for having her head covered and being restricted is amazingly entertaining. Aren’t the holidays grand? Through the frustrations of the shoots, it’s great to look back and have these pictures! Her fussing and whining are absolutely worth it. Plus, she generally gets rewarded with white chocolate dipped bones. It’s a win-win, right? We hope your holiday preparations are going well – have a marvelous Wednesday!

Disney Day: Part 1

Jacket || Dress || Shoes || Gold ring
Ahh, Disneyland. The most fun (and happiest place) on earth! We were so grateful to join my husband’s family for a fun-filled California vacation, which included time at the two glorious parks. There were churros, popcorn, more churros and very warm temperatures. We enjoyed running and practically leaping (yep, we are that family) from ride to ride picking up the occassional FastPasses along the way. I’ve never been to the parks with kids, so it was an entirely new experiences seeing little faces light up at everything! It made everything that much more fun.
Can we discuss the Disney decor? We timed our visit perfectly – it was my favorite time! The flower beds replaced with poinsettias and the two-story tree at the entrance to Main Street are my favorite features. I love seeing everything decked out in Christmas finery. It makes it a bit more magical (if that’s even possible)!

Friday Finds: Anthropologie

Does anyone else get excessively excited when the newest Anthro catalog arrives? Each issue is brilliantly designed and the themes are always so on trend. The winter editions are always useful for heightening my holiday spirit! I recently received the current issue and as usual, it didn’t disappoint. I like to think that marketing campaigns don’t influence my buying practices, but 20 minutes later, I was on the Anthropologie website, hot chocolate in hand, browsing the new arrivals with my credit card at the ready. Luckily, I exercised some self-control and made a wish list instead. These are some of my favorites – enjoy!
