The Birthday Wish List

My birthday is coming up next week and I often present my family with a detailed wish list. There’s usually some sort of live creature on the list, so I know they don’t take it too seriously, but it’s always nice to have a wish list prepared just in case, right? The spring catalogs have been arriving nearly daily, so I had lots of ideas and new loves. I’m starting to get hopeful about the warm weather and we’re planning our summer vacations. When planning trips, I tend to develop terribly romantic notions (evening walks on cobblestone streets, dips in the Mediterranean Sea, browsing foreign museums in newly purchased espadrilles…you know), so I plan my wardrobe purchases accordingly. Every year, I just long to be browsing on Calle Serrano, purchasing books along the Seine or people watching in Roman piazzas. Although it doesn’t happen every year, it’s wonderful to imagine! I highly suggest it.

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is about halfway over and I continue to find new products that I love! I know that I certainly shouldn’t buy them all, but I thought that maybe you’d find two or three things that you’d want as well. My favorite purchase so far? Those adorable “Eat Cake for Breakfast” dessert plates! The plates are utterly fantastic. They are the perfect size and the colors are delightful. I also picked the watch in the tortoise shell & gold. I love the combo! I hope you enjoy the second round of picks. Also, have a great Friday and of course, weekend!

I Just Love…Saturday

In honor of  the various New York touch-screen storefronts, I thought I’d present my favorite items from Kate Spade Saturday. This line is just what it seems: an updated spin on traditional, casual weekend wear. It encapsulates the Kate Spade love of bold colors and graphic shapes, but with functionality and fun in mind. Take a close look at the travel case and coordinating bottles…the text is so clever. If you love color and simplicity, but still want to declare your stylish side, take a look at Kate Spade Saturday. I’m nearly positive you’ll find something that you love. Best part of this line? The price point is set slightly lower and therefore, more reasonably than kate spade new york. Hope you enjoy!

Did You Know?

I found the coolest online inspiration board! The Kate Spade website has “30 Days of Outfits,” which offers a unique and adorable look for one summer month. It gives you the option of purchasing all the items or simply one of them on the page. I love Kate Spade and I’m loving this look book! Don’t like any of the looks? Swap out similarly colored items or a similar silhouette–easy! Thanks for the easy shopping Kate Spade!
