Hi friends! This post has been several days in the making because it’s been so tough for me to write. My wonderful uncle was recently diagnosed with a severely aggressive form of brain cancer. Our entire extended family has been in shock and dealing with the pain & sadness for 3 weeks now. And while it would seem that those emotions should be our sole focus, day-to-day issues surface and must be dealt with. No one wants to think about money at a time like this, but the truth is, it’s a very real conversation that must occur before anyone is ready.
As I remembered back to my diagnosis, one thing that stood out to me was the benefit of supportive family & friends. Jack and I were able to heal and cope thanks to the generosity of those around us. I’ve been brainstorming different ways that I can help my sweet aunt and I realized that easing her financial burden will be a huge stress reliever. I want her to be able to wholeheartedly focus on caring for her companion of over 30 years.
In an effort to help, I’ve decided to donate all of my blog proceeds for the next month. So as you do your online shopping this month, will you consider purchasing through a link on my blog? This will provide a small commission (it doesn’t increase your cost) that I can easily track and send to my aunt. This will be super easy—you don’t have to do anything except click a link! Here’s the plan:
- Clear your cache and cookies (this makes sure the links work).
- When you’re getting ready to make an online purchase, stop here and find a link to the website.
- Click on the link and shop as you normally would!
- I get a notification with a date and commission amount.
Planning on shopping the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale this week? It’s the pre-sale and you can start buying now with a Nordstrom debit or credit card!
Don’t see your store? Send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org and I’ll find you a link! Thank you in advance for you help and support! I can’t tell you how much this will mean to my aunt and our family. I wish you could all know this wonderful man that has contributed so much to his family, church and community.
