Pretty Pastels

One | Two | Three | Four | Five | Six
Fridayyyyy! Definitely couldn’t be happier for today! We have some fun weekend plans and are hoping we get to do everything on our list. Number one on the list? The newly completed Living Planet Aquarium! I’m a sucker for river otters and penguins. Who isn’t though, right?
So, about these gorgeous bags…pastels! There’s nothing that welcomes spring better than a new wardrobe. My absolute favorite wardrobe addition is a new handbag. Handbags never fit you poorly and never accentuate the awkward “I haven’t been to the gym all winter” areas. These six splendid bags are my top picks! Hope you enjoy.
Have a super fab weekend.

Black & White

Skirt | Wallet | Watch | Nail Polish | Phone case (similar)

I genuinely can’t sing enough praises about this skirt from Express. It’s a stretchy, ultra-soft knit and is utterly comfortable. Paired with pumps and a structured top, it’s the perfect piece for the office. Once I get home, I toss on a slouchy sweater and wedges and it is a dream in which to run errands. See? I could go on for days about it—the silhouette, the fabric. Magnificent and highly recommended.

I’ve been gravitating toward black and white outfits lately (probably because it’s considerably more flattering than other options). Thoughts on black and white? Love or hate?

Spring Picks

Eye Shadow | Top | Watch | Bag | Skirt | Wedges
I’m not sure if it’s entirely normal or not, but I tend to begin browsing and buying spring items as soon as they’re available. This usually begins in February with floral printed dresses and breezy blouses – items that transition easily. Living in Utah often brings severe weather surprises, including snow in the morning and bright sunshine the next. I like to have versatile pieces readily available that are winter appropriate, yet forward looking. Navy and neutrals are classic options and work well as transitional colors between winter and spring. I’m loving these pieces individually (and collectively of course) because of their versatility. You can easily add a sweater or blazer over the top, swap out the wedges for boots or add a boldly colored hat for chilly days. So, while we’re all wishing and hoping spring would arrive quickly, this palette will make the wait a bit more bearable. Hopefully…right?

A Little Bit of MK for Your Wednesday

Blazer || Tank || Necklace || Bag || Leggings || Boots

Happy Wednesday, friends! Sorry for the brief hiatus, but it sure was nice! Details of our trip tomorrow! I’ve recently been in love with this Michael Kors bag and thought I’d share this outfit inspiration that I created with it in mind. Leggings and sleek boots (with eye-catching hardware) make up my usual fall and winter uniform. Paired with a breezy tank and a fitted blazer, it transitions perfectly from the office to post-work shopping trips. And aren’t those MK boots to die for?! I’m hoping I’ll see them (and that must-have bag) under the tree in a few weeks…any takers as the generous gift-giver?
