Weekend Moments

Blazer: Nordstrom || Skinny Skimmers: Gap || Bag: Topshop || Heels: Enzo Angiolini

This was my favorite moment of the weekend. Taking a stroll with this pup is the most difficult 30 minutes ever, but it’s worth it. She gets so excited about everything. It sort of makes you rethink how you look at everything–imagine getting that excited about birds and running water! It’s amazing how a simple walk can change the way you feel!

Read: Pretty Children’s Travel Guides

My thoughtful husband has recently been purchasing these beautiful books for some future (presumably) adorable child. We’ve loved looking through each of them and reminiscing about our own visits to these marvelous cities. The majority of the original series have been reissued and are available to purchase from various online retailers, including Amazon. My favorite aspect? The books include the original text from the 60s, as well as footnotes documenting any factual changes. They are great historical representations of perceptions and simply, a beautiful read!

Products: MAC Must-Haves

Coat: Banana Republic || Bag: Longchamp
Powder blush: Raizin || Matte lipstick: Diva || Studio Fix Powder || Medium Angled Shading Brush

MAC has always been my go-to for colorful and quality products. As fun as it is to dress up or try new makeup, my daily routine usually involves these four key products. My powder case is always with me and handles touch-ups marvelously. Strangely, the shade I use is only available in the UK! It gives us a great excuse to hop across the pond though.
I recently discovered Diva and it’s deep burgundy shade is great for evenings out. It has a matte finish, which I love! I use it with the Mahogany lip liner, which has proven its versatility with any lipstick or gloss.
I’ve never been one to have numerous brushes, but the shading brush is perfect for daily application. If you only buy one, get this one. It handles the application and is pretty useful for blending as well.
Finally…their recycling program? It makes me the happiest.

Explore: Windsor Castle

Blazer: Banana Republic || Straight-leg skimmers: Gap || Lace top: Zara

Hopefully if you’re visiting London you’ll have the chance to do this incredible day trip. I took absolutely any opportunity to visit Windsor, so when my friend visited from New York, I knew this was a must. I’d recommend visiting in a group–we received a great 3-for-2 discount out of Paddington station. Each of us only paid around £9 total!
Following the castle visit, walk across the river Thames toward Eton. Along the High Street, there are some quaint shops, including home decor, antique books and a sweet shop that has gluten-free brownies!
