Snapshots…

Our life has been pretty busy this week (what else is new, right?)! We have done the usual work things, family fun, and celebrated the birthday of a favorite friend. Everything of course was accented by the antics of Bella the dog and trips to the grocery store.
Several of our friends met up for dinner at Old Towne Grill, which was surprisingly delicious! You wouldn’t expect a restaurant that shares its space with a Provo club to be outstanding, but it was delicious. The lemonade was particularly tasty. We all ordered glasses of the chilled concoction and they were delivered in oversized Mason jars. Awesome.
We were able to witness some pretty great sunsets this week–Utah is great for that! I really don’t want summer to end.
Lastly, we enjoyed the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale (yes, I’m obsessed with this awesome sale) and bought a few things and dreamed about others. It’s so hard to justify some purchases. Blah.
Oh and P.S. I found the cutest new background for my phone that is the perfect mixture of inspirational and creative. Caytlyn, the designer, is also the cutest and super talented. Grab the background and check out her blog here.
I hope your days have been filled with fun and summer things!

For Your Wednesday…

Watch: Michael Kors || Dress: KS Saturday || Earrings: J. Crew || Bag: Michael Kors || Pumps: Sam Edelman

I tried to center this outfit around this stellar sheath dress–it’s just too amazing. It has minute side cut-outs, which is sort of perfect for the final days of summer. It pairs perfectly with flats, sandals and luckily, my favorite pick from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! Aren’t those heels awesome? They come in black as well (in case you’re feeling particularly edgy and daring)…
I just received the watch last week and it’s just as beautiful in person. It’s deeply discounted (thanks again to the Anniversary Sale) and so worth it! It goes with so many different things. Who doesn’t love that?
And the earrings. Oh, those earrings! Gorgeous. The J. Crew Jewels section does it again! I can’t wait until they ship (they’re backordered).

Have the best Wednesday!

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is about halfway over and I continue to find new products that I love! I know that I certainly shouldn’t buy them all, but I thought that maybe you’d find two or three things that you’d want as well. My favorite purchase so far? Those adorable “Eat Cake for Breakfast” dessert plates! The plates are utterly fantastic. They are the perfect size and the colors are delightful. I also picked the watch in the tortoise shell & gold. I love the combo! I hope you enjoy the second round of picks. Also, have a great Friday and of course, weekend!

Styled: A Patterned Maxi Skirt

Maxi skirt: Similar
Let’s discuss this maxi, shall we? Have you ever gained 5 pounds and realized that none of your clothes fit exactly right? Sure, they still fit, but they just don’t fall right. Well, this maxi skirt has been such a glorious addition to my wardrobe as I fix the effects of our recent laziness. Here’s a hint: don’t eat British candy while watching 90210 with your husband for days. Ha!  The fit is ideal–there is an elastic fold-over waist–and the pattern? So fun! There were so many different colors and they’re pretty inexpensive. Have a great Tuesday!
