Around the Web

Hi everyone! It’s already the middle of the week – can you believe it? I’m quite excited about that. There’s something so uplifting about making it to Wednesday! After an evening of perusing my favorite sites, I found some excellent posts that I wanted to share. There’s something for nearly everyone, so I hope you enjoy!

1. A gorgeous English Garden Party hosted by Stella McCartney and Gwyneth? Yes, absolutely yes.
2. A Restoration Hardware inspired chandelier for under $200.
3. Gwyneth reigns supreme this week with the Goop Mag #7.
4. Not feeling the designer prices? No prob. Glitter Guide presents 20 Fall Must-Haves from Target.
5. Baffled or disappointed by iOS 7? Here are 15 tips to help ease your frustration.
6. And perhaps my favorite of the week: 30 must-reads!

I hope that you find something inspirational or just a fun read. Have a splendid Wednesday.

Over the Weekend

This weekend was so entertaining and filled with animal sightings! We went on a Saturday adventure to Brigham City to buy some peaches (and peace pie of course) and along the way, we were lucky enough to see a massive herd of elk and a strange goat. Not the most unique animals, but definitely out of the ordinary for us!
We stopped at Maddox for dinner, which was delicious as always. Raspberry butter? Yes, please. If you’re ever in northern Utah, you must definitely make a pit stop.
We traveled home and enjoyed the occasional rain storm along the way. All in all, a wonderful Saturday!

Loving This: Moto & Leather

Happy Wednesday, friends! I hope it’s been a splendid week so far. I’m sure we’ve all seen (and fallen in love with) the moto trend by now, yes? Well, there are so many different items (clues to the trend’s pervasiveness) and since I’d rather not spend $1500 on a jacket, I found these six stellar picks that are amazing and affordable. They’re all considerably different, but still offer the same structure. The exception – of course – is the mixed media jacket (with the camo). Isn’t that so great? I can’t wait until the weather cools down a bit more! I hope you enjoy!

Life Lately

Hi all! Sorry for the seemingly extensive blogging hiatus! I’ve been quite devoted to some academic pursuits, but I’m now back! It’s been great to start thinking of new topics to post about. As you can probably tell, it’s been an extremely busy couple of weeks! Instead of planning semi-fashionable outfits, I’ve resigned myself to sweats and old t-shirts (previously owned by men much larger than myself), which has been liberating and has brought out my inner slug. Getting dressed to be presentable at work has been such a challenge: I cannot count the times that I’ve asked Jack if these slim fit fleece pants could pass for these meant-to-be-worn-in-public Wayf’s. Time and time again he burst my delusional bubble with his honest hesitation. Woe is me.
As I force myself to start dressing like a grown up again, let’s hope you’re content with looking at pretty iPhone pictures! The highlights of the week included buying a print for our dog’s room (yup), wearing a lot of neon, seeing Audra live, creating/finishing a Rome scrapbook layout, finally getting to peruse the September issue à la Anna, and redecorating our office! All delightfully fun activities!
On a random note, it’s felt a lot like fall lately, which is amazing. Bring on the cooler weather!
