Friday Finds: Coats

Hi, hi! I hope you had the most wonderful week. This week has been exceptionally long for us, but Friday is finally here. We are off to California this weekend and it couldn’t have come at a better time. There’s been so much going on lately that an extended weekend in the sun sounds like the best thing. We’re looking forward to Disneyland (obviously!), Sprinkles, Fashion Island, The Grove, beaches and fish tacos. We love our go-to vacations! Before I get too excited, here are my picks for this week. With the onset of the colder weather, I have been looking for a couple new coats to join my collection. Yes, collection. Coats are sort of my thing, unfortunately. I always end of buying 2-3 every winter season — oops. My top picks are always The North Face and anything from J. Crew because you’re never cold! Enjoy!

A Night of Mystery

We truly had such a lovely time at a murder mystery party on Saturday night! We were so grateful for the chance to extend Halloween for one more evening. And I mean really, we got to wear fun costumes, eat great food and spend time with some of our favorites. We didn’t have a strict script, so we more or less improved our way through telling clues in our best accents. It was amazing. 
The game was played throughout dinner, which was so entertaining! Everyone did their best to not choke on their food while we giggled our way through the mystery. If you’ve never attended one of these, you should definitely take it upon yourself to put one together. It was truly hilarious! You can buy the party kit here or here.

Life Lately: Over the Weekend

The weekend seems to have gone by so quickly, doesn’t it? It honestly seems like we were just barely celebrating 5:00 p.m. on Friday! We’ve been having uncharacteristically eventful weekends lately, which we aren’t complaining about. On Friday, we met up with some of our favorite small humans for one last seasonal celebration. We slid down slides, we raced through a corn maze and most importantly, we devoured kettle corn! Yum.
Saturday was filled with errands and exercising, but that evening we donned our final costumes of the year in order to be Molly A. Abswterr and Billy “The Kid” Thrower. Yup, we were invited to a murder mystery party thrown by one of my best friends. We had dinner while attempting to solve the crime! Everyone looked wonderful and the dinner was fantastic: making it an all-around wonderful night. Plus, I was able to break out my favorite coat (here’s a similar fave)! It’s so very soft. So. Much. Fun.
