Pretty Pastels

One | Two | Three | Four | Five | Six
Fridayyyyy! Definitely couldn’t be happier for today! We have some fun weekend plans and are hoping we get to do everything on our list. Number one on the list? The newly completed Living Planet Aquarium! I’m a sucker for river otters and penguins. Who isn’t though, right?
So, about these gorgeous bags…pastels! There’s nothing that welcomes spring better than a new wardrobe. My absolute favorite wardrobe addition is a new handbag. Handbags never fit you poorly and never accentuate the awkward “I haven’t been to the gym all winter” areas. These six splendid bags are my top picks! Hope you enjoy.
Have a super fab weekend.

Weekend Digest

We had so much fun this weekend! It was delightfully busy, but only with fun things. One of my very best friends was visiting from New York, so we tried to reacquaint her with the beauty of Utah, the sassiness of Bella and introduce her to some great new treats. Luckily (for the sake of this post), everything turned out to be quite colorful! I’m still thinking of that delicious treat from The Chocolate and Bella’s antics when finding a tree full of birds (insanity)! So. much. fun. What did you do this weekend?

“Florals? For spring. Groundbreaking.”

One of my all-time favorite movies is also one that my husband can’t seem to sit through. He is an absolute champ when it comes to chick flicks and generally doesn’t complain, but I think he’d rather see the Red Sox win than watch Anne Hathaway make her chic transformation in The Devil Wears Prada. Although I’m not the biggest Hathaway fan, I am a loyal fan of Stanley Tucci and of course, all things Meryl. Her performance in this movie is inspiring. Truly. Who would have thought that it was possible to make workplace hierarchies and demeaning behaviors hilarious? Having recently received a piercing gaze from the real life Miranda Priestly, I can honestly prescribe the following: if you’re ever in a London bathroom alone with Anna Wintour, it’s best to not make eye contact with the iconic, sunglass wearing figure before you. Because although her British sense of propriety and decorum insist that she return the polite facial gesture, you’ll still feel massively intimated and horrifically underdressed. With that, enjoy these magnificent spring-inspired picks! I’m sure Anna would approve of at least one of them. Happy Friday.

Road Trippin’

Coat | Leggings | Boots

I’ve never really been one to believe in “comfy travel clothes.” I don’t feel comfortable getting on a plane in pajamas or anything in that general vicinity. My compromise? Leggings. I’m sure we’ve all benefited from the current trend and I’m absolutely no exception. On a recent trip to Vegas, I tried to be as comfy as possible without sacrificing on the fashion front. Slouchy sweater + leggings + warm Burberry = magic travel clothes. I think I’ve found my newest uniform!

P.S. I bought these boots several months ago and now they’re half off! Only $50. They come in brown too…
