Happy Friday guys! Tomorrow is super exciting for us–it’s our first anniversary! This year has gone by unbelievably fast. Every single day has been wonderful. He is the kindest, cutest and funniest guy I know. I’m grateful every day to be his wife. I wanted to share a portion of the happiest day of our lives as captured by the ultra-talented, David Perry! I knew I wanted him to capture my wedding video since about 10th grade. Literally. Check it out! You’ll see why. If you want to see more details from our wedding, you can read here. Happy Anniversary to my great husband!

Styled: The Bridesmaids Edition

Ashley: Backless asymmetrical dress (Zara) || Dannielle: Lace top (Francesca’s) & Pleated skirt (Zara) || Silvia: Empire waist, embellished dress (Topshop) || Courtney: Sheath dress (Zara) & cardigan (Banana Republic) || Claire: White lace mini (Zara)

Shopping for my bridesmaids was the highlight of my planning. I purchased everything in London with the exception of the chain necklaces, which came from our local H & M. I thought for so long about each of my friends’ personalities, clothing preferences and skin tones prior to making any purchases. There were many frantic international texts requesting input and advice! I wanted them to be comfortable above all else and in the end, have another unique outfit they could wear (at least once) again!
I wanted a neutral color palette that highlighted the blush and gold elements of the day. Zara’s spring collection was perfect!
I am so grateful for these wonderful women in my life! A big thanks for everything you did on that special day!

Styled: The Bride

Veil: Alta Moda || Tiara: Ivory & Co via The Tailor’s Cat
Heels: Rupert Sanderson “Decor” via Brown’s London

The Dress – Monique Lluillier
My wedding dress was completely easy to pick. I found what I wanted on Monique’s website, called the only boutique that carried her designs and they took care of the rest! The skirt was ordered and as soon as I arrived from London, we began the fittings! I designed the bodice, which was then created just for me!

The Tiara – Ivory & Co.
I knew I wanted a tiara since the day I saw Sleeping Beauty. But, really. While I was studying at Cambridge, my best friend and I happened upon The Tailor’s Cat. It was a delightful wedding boutique in the center of the city. We immediately fell in love with all the Swarovski encrusted tiaras. How could you not?
Three years later I was back in London and newly engaged. I knew I had to be crowned à la Kate Middleton. I dragged my friends along for the 45 minutes journey and found the perfect finishing touch! Each tiara has a great assortment of faceted Swarovski crystals, freshwater pearls and are 14k gold.

The Shoes – Rupert Sanderson
I began my dress shopping in London and knew a trip to Brown’s would be beneficial. I immediately fell in love with my gorgeous heels and the color was perfect. I’ve never had more comfortable heels. Highly recommended.

Weddings: The Perfect Invitations

Oh, William Arthur. This was one of the easiest experiences of our wedding planning. The day we received our bright blue boxes filled with our invites was so uplifting. It seemed all the planning was finally coming together!
We had the above damask design customized and they turned out beautifully. We opted for the thermography option, which is basically raised printing. It gave them texture and an extra touch of personality. Each invitation style offers coordinating reply cards. We customized ours to be invites to the luncheon.
Finally, we found a local calligraphy company that was able to match the cursive font and personalize each of the invitations. This was my only “no negotiation” request for my invitations and it was worth it!
Definitely check out William Arthur if you’re looking for invites or even personal stationery–you won’t be disappointed!
