Paris: The Very Best Patisseries

Equally as important as Parisian fashion, art and architecture are the impeccable patisseries. I feel like the perfect trip would include a day devoted to bouncing through the city on a severe sugar high. So…in an effort to enhance any Parisian holiday, I present my favorite patisseries! This list is obviously not complete–I haven’t met a patisserie I haven’t enjoyed, but these are certainly not to be missed.

Buy the jam. Love it. Devote lots of suitcase space to take it home.

Try the hot chocolate–it’s a life changing experience!

Happy Travels! Or perhaps Bon voyage is more appropriate?

Life Lately: Instagram

I love scrolling through my Instagram photos to see what I deemed special enough to share with the world. It’s fun to have a daily record of favorite daily moments–don’t you think? I love to play amateur photographer and force Husband and puppy to be subjects every moment of the day! Even better? Seeing the pictures of family, friends and strangers I admire! Some people are so extremely talented on Instagram. I am constantly amazed by the things people do with all the various apps!
Here’s a small sample of life lately and what was the most important these past few weeks.

Friday Finds: Project Life

We’ve all heard of Project Life, yes? Well, if you haven’t…here’s a brief intro! It’s basically a new spin on scrapbooking. I know many people hear scrapbooking and think it’s outdated, time-consuming or just not for them, but Project Life is a modern, efficient way to keep track of important moments. The entire core kit comes with everything you need for an entire year! Don’t you just love that? The kits are designed to be used as-is, but you can definitely embellish away if you’re feeling particularly creative!
There are tons of different editions, but Honey & Kraft are my personal favorites. I love the colors! Check out beckyhiggins.com for ordering info or stop by your local Hobby Lobby. I’d definitely call first because they’ve been selling out like crazy!

Bold, Bright and Bangled

Dress: ASTR (on sale!) || Jacket: BCBG (similar) || Watch: Michael Kors (similar) || Earrings: Givenchy || Lips: MAC Taupe

Don’t you just love a good shopping day? I couldn’t ask for a better experience than Fashion Island in Newport Beach. It’s so laid back and simply gorgeous! And the store selection? Unparalleled. It’s always been a favorite.
I’ve always been a fun of a great summer dress and this muted neon shift dress is so perfect! The jacket could be changed out with any studded piece or another strong piece. Add some gold bangles to complete the look. Happy shopping!
