It’s that time again! The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale began its pre-sale yesterday for card holders. Don’t have a Nordstrom card? You can apply for one here and start shopping as soon as you’re approved. The Nordstrom Debit Card is a great way to earn points without getting yourself into financial trouble. If you’d rather wait, the pre-sale ends on the 17th and the sale opens to the general public. Many of the items are designated as “limited supply,” so be sure to start early!

I truly love this sale since we can stock up on new fall pieces and items we use every day! While writing this, I hollered in the other room at Jack (who was busily engaged in some action game on the Xbox) and asked him how many purses he felt was “necessary.” I honestly thought he’d contemplate it for a bit, but without any hesitation he replied, “THREE.” You can image my shock and dismay. I think I’m going to amend his reply and tack on “per season.”

Hi friends! I hope you had a truly festive and wonderful weekend! We loved every single second of our extended weekend. There was so much food and fun! Our only complaint? It was unbelievably hot. What’s the 4th of July without a bit of heat though, right? We spent the evening at the Stadium of Fire, which is absolutely the best place to celebrate. Carrie Underwood was outstanding and we coincidentally sat next to some of our family. This Independence Day was certainly not a disappointment—I wish we could celebrate longer! Have a wonderful Monday (and week)!

We’re only two days away from the greatest holiday! I am so excited. You know what I’m not all that excited for? The impending heat wave that is promising to put a damper on my fave day. While Jack is beyond thrilled to nearly bake to death, I’m so stressed out thinking of what to wear. Rompers are consistently my favorite picks for summer—they’re easy to dress up and they keep you cool. If you haven’t converted yet to the romper bandwagon, I hope these change your mind!

I’m going to go ahead and just welcome myself back to blogging. It’s been so long and I blame a two-week illness that just took me out. I’ve definitely missed it! The last time I was here, I was planning a bridal shower for my best friend, Dannielle. It was honestly the best time! I adore party planning and would throw a party every week if I could!

Dannielle is the most creative and artistic person I know, so I knew I had to pull in bold and bright colors. The tassel garland was the perfect touch! I’m so happy I was able to participate in the festivities for my sweet, adventurous friend!
