Rain, Rain Go Away

Necklace | Top | Rings | Belt | Skinny Jeans | Sandals
Has anyone else felt completely tricked by the weather lately? Sigh. I should be used to it, right? Springtime in Utah is just plain fickle. Although I love layering (and I love sweaters), it’s about time to put away the coats and closed-toe shoes. I was browsing online last night and came across these stellar sandals from Vince Camuto. Judging from the designer, they’re bound to be comfy and last quite a few seasons. I was surprised by how well they coordinated with the belt I had in my Gap shopping cart! Love. And those rings? The perfect addition to a freshly manicured hand. Here’s hoping spring is here to stay!

The Birthday Wish List

My birthday is coming up next week and I often present my family with a detailed wish list. There’s usually some sort of live creature on the list, so I know they don’t take it too seriously, but it’s always nice to have a wish list prepared just in case, right? The spring catalogs have been arriving nearly daily, so I had lots of ideas and new loves. I’m starting to get hopeful about the warm weather and we’re planning our summer vacations. When planning trips, I tend to develop terribly romantic notions (evening walks on cobblestone streets, dips in the Mediterranean Sea, browsing foreign museums in newly purchased espadrilles…you know), so I plan my wardrobe purchases accordingly. Every year, I just long to be browsing on Calle Serrano, purchasing books along the Seine or people watching in Roman piazzas. Although it doesn’t happen every year, it’s wonderful to imagine! I highly suggest it.

The Color of the Season

Sweater || Ring || Bag || Gloves || Lipstick || Leggings || Oxfords
Guys. I love these things. I was compiling a fall fashion wish list – mainly for inspiration – and was so happy when upon further inspection, I noticed an obvious palette. Well, maybe not so much a palette as an overt inclination toward all things preceded by the following adjectives: wine, burgundy, oxblood. I mean, how could I not? Don’t these colors just exemplify fall? As much as I enjoy the ease of a summer wardrobe, it’s so refreshing to get a few new items. So we’ve established that I’m an obvious sucker for these hues, right? Do you have a go-to fall favorite?

Strappy for Spring

Clockwise from top left: Steven Madden ‘Spycee‘ || Vince Camuto ‘Eliana’ || Jimmy Choo ‘Besso‘ || Kate Spade ‘Iver’

Can’t you just see yourself dancing down sidewalks or on a super chic date in these? I’m so glad there are so many strappy styles to choose from this season! I’m generally just in love with all of these. They’re all considerably affordable with the exception of the Jimmy Choos, which may need to be a summer splurge! Paired with a dress or skinnies, they’ll be standouts. Welcome spring and summer–you’ve been missed!
