Read: Pretty Children’s Travel Guides

My thoughtful husband has recently been purchasing these beautiful books for some future (presumably) adorable child. We’ve loved looking through each of them and reminiscing about our own visits to these marvelous cities. The majority of the original series have been reissued and are available to purchase from various online retailers, including Amazon. My favorite aspect? The books include the original text from the 60s, as well as footnotes documenting any factual changes. They are great historical representations of perceptions and simply, a beautiful read!

Rome: That’s Amore

The Rome portion of our trip was actually quite quick–we were only there for two whole days. Our lunches were usually dictated by our location in the city, but dinners were special. We loved this little find because of its location and of course, the menu. It’s literally steps away from the Trevi Fountain and was truly a pleasant dining experience. It was the perfect end to very busy days. Fun fact: the chef offers “Fabiolous Cooking Days,” which even include visiting local markets to purchase ingredients!
